Hey, everybody, it’s Ken at the Capitol Mortgage Group. Today we’re talking about a trend we’re starting to see in the real estate industry. When you’re buying a home, there’s a lot of moving parts. You’re juggling quite a few things during that very exciting home-buying process.
nd unfortunately, there’s scammers. There are real criminals out there that wanna take advantage of you during that process. We hear about new scams coming out all the time. It’s highlighted in the article below this post. I have this conversation with all my clients up front,so that they know what to be aware of. None of my clients have fallen victim to any of these scams, but unfortunately we hear about it happening all the time. So what do you do? What do you do if you get a call from someone asking for your credit card number during the transaction, or askingor your downpayment? First thing to do is check in with your mortgage expert, your mortgage broker. He can tell you if this is legit or if it’s a scam and protect you. Unfortunately, this is the world we live in today, folks. But it doesn’t have to be a problem for you as long as you’re vigilant during the process.
